Corium's Patented Technologies
can be Incorporated into a Variety
of Delivery Systems to Create
Customized Delivery Profiles

Corium’s proprietary polymer (Corplex™) and mechanical microporation (MicroCor™) technologies allow development of several delivery systems that can optimally deliver drugs across the skin and mucosa. Our MicroCor™ technology (active transdermal technology) uses an array of plastic microstructures to mechanically create reversible “micro-pores” in the stratum corneum to enhance transdermal delivery, especially for large molecules like proteins and vaccines that are typically administered by injection. Corplex™ is a versatile polymer technology that can be delivered in liquid, semi-solid and solid formats for conventional transdermal, wound dressing and mucosal delivery. Both Corplex™ and MicroCor™ are suitable for rapid and sustained drug release and can be used in the development of pharmaceutical products with acute and chronic applications.
